The Day Novella — the full reading, three treatments
The Day object at novella scale carries the whole Day-Layout list: auspice (marker · 1–5 rating · keyword · focus + description · 7-day trend), context (cycles via CT-PAT28 made-of-days · sunrise/sunset · next lunation · holiday), the ruler, the lunar section, the magic section (Hygro LD · magic main · details · S&S · Ivy’s note), and the ordered day details with the chronological ↔ by-type toggle. Executed in The Margin (CT-PAT17) and The Register (CT-PAT18), plus a hybrid dossier that nests CT-PAT26 stat lines. Hours grid, calendar tray, and Orrery stay in their tabs (R4-12 · R4-19); aspects appear here because aspects are Day-only. The great-cycle row awaits an ORCA definition.
Scales 1–3 · reference
The same day, compressed CT-DV02
Saturday, July 4 at nametag, stat line, and baseball card (CT-PAT26’s ladder, verbatim) — the forms the persistent Today Header draws from. The matrix maps which Day-Layout content survives at each scale.
Novella · treatment A
The Margin CT-DV03
CT-PAT17’s skeleton — the 96px anchor column, the fixed vertical hairline, open field spacing. One quiet scroll; every section hangs off its family anchor, and the details run chronologically, times leading each entry.
Novella · treatment B
The Register CT-DV04
CT-PAT18’s ruled berths — each section in its own horizontal-hairline row, and the details grouped by type under register headers: the toggle’s other pole. Denser, auditable, same content to the line.
Novella · treatment C
The Dossier — reading + register CT-DV05
The four scales nested in one view: a nametag lede opens a Margin reading column, while a quick-scan rail carries the CT-PAT28 ladder and the day’s transits as CT-PAT26 stat lines. The prose is for reading; the rail is for checking.
Novella · treatment D · interactive pilot
The Register × timeline — with controls CT-DV06
The dig-in / big-picture pilot, live: a Cycles expander under the rating absorbs “Where the day sits” (the 1b trim strips); section titles fold to a scannable outline; the details toggle switches in-order ⇄ by-type. Saturn sits directly under the rating tray; the timeline’s hairline starts at the first dot.
Study · the cycles section
Where the day sits — how minimal can it go? CT-DV07
Three reductions of CT-DV06’s cycles section. The strip with the taller today-block IS the position — captions and date spans are commentary; season and year can compress to a breadcrumb path.

The Concertina — see more, see less CT-DV08
CT-DV06 with the full control system: a View masterOutline (title lines + the timeline skeleton) · Reading (sections open, trays tucked) · Everything (all trays sprung) — plus per-section folds, the Cycles and S&S expanders, and the live details toggle. One day, three depths.
